CollaGenix Sues Over ANDAs For Periostat Generics

Law360, New York (October 2, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- CollaGenex Pharmaceuticals Inc. has sued rival drug makers Ivax Pharmaceuticals Inc. and CorePharma LLC in a federal court over their abbreviated new drug applications (ANDAs) for a patent covering its gum disease treatment, Periostat.

CollaGenex said the complaint, filed with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, seeks an injunction against the companies from launching generic versions of Periostat.
