Ex-Paterson Aide Joins Orrick Finance Practice

Law360 (March 10, 2011, 3:07 PM EST) -- Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP has tapped Sean Patrick Maloney, a deputy to former New York Govs. Eliot Spitzer and David Paterson, as a partner in its global finance group, the firm announced Tuesday.

Maloney, who started at Orrick's New York office on Monday, will focus on public-private partnerships and financing infrastructure projects.

Maloney's experience in the public sector and at Kirkland & Ellis LLP's corporate group will complement Orrick's existing infrastructure practice, said global finance group Chair Dan Mathews, who called the infrastructure practice one of the firm's marquee specialties.
