US Appeals Fla. Ruling Against Health Care Reform Law

Law360 (March 8, 2011, 9:36 PM EST) -- The Obama administration on Tuesday appealed a Florida federal judge's ruling that struck down the entire healthcare overhaul law as unconstitutional because it requires individuals to buy health insurance or pay a penalty.

The U.S. Departments of the Treasury, Labor, and Health and Human Services plan to take the case to the Eleventh Circuit, according to a notice of appeal filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
