Calpine Seeks Approval For $4.5M FERC Settlement

Law360, New York (April 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Bankrupt energy provider Calpine Corp. has asked a bankruptcy court to approve a $4.5 million settlement with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, which will bring an end to allegations that Calpine misused gas pipelines.

Calpine on Thursday filed a motion to approve the settlement in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, asking the court to grant FERC a pre-petition unsecured claim of $4.5 million.
