Lufthansa's Suit Over Internet Technology Stands

Law360, New York (March 9, 2011, 7:14 PM EST) -- A Virginia federal judge refused Monday to dismiss a contract suit over wireless Internet connections for airplane passengers, allowing Lufthansa Systems Infratec GmbH and the service's inventor to seek court declarations that they own rights to the technology.

Judge John A. Gibney Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia denied a dismissal bid by defendant Wi-Sky Inflight Inc., rejecting Wi-Sky's arguments that the court lacked jurisdiction and that Lufthansa lacked standing to bring the suit because of a parallel complaint pending...
