MedAssets Seeks Discovery Sanctions In Insurance Row

Law360, New York (March 10, 2011, 1:18 PM EST) -- MedAssets Inc. asked a Georgia federal judge Wednesday to sanction Federal Insurance Co. for allegedly failing to produce documents, as the companies dispute damages over Federal's refusal to cover defense costs for a suit over the disclosure of pacemaker pricing information.

MedAssets filed two motions to compel in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, claiming Federal has not produced a single document or responded to the plaintiff’s interrogatories despite a looming deadline for the close of discovery.
