Ex-NY Comptroller’s Corruption Sentencing Delayed

Law360 (March 9, 2011, 5:57 PM EST) -- The sentencing of former New York State Comptroller Alan Hevesi is reportedly being postponed after his attorney filed a bid Tuesday seeking the recusal of the state judge presiding over the corruption case.

Until the motion is resolved, Hevesi’s sentencing hearing in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of New York, will be pushed back from Thursday to March 28 at the earliest, and the sentencing of five other defendants targeted in the New York State Attorney General’s pension fund corruption probe...
