Municipal Contractor Appeals 2-Year Bribery Sentence

Law360, New York (March 10, 2011, 7:05 PM EST) -- A business owner who pled guilty to bribing a mayor and controller of a Michigan town to get a $3.1 million public works contract appealed his two-year prison sentence on Thursday.

Sheldon Divers, who was sentenced Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, filed a notice of appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
