Rajaratnam Dangled Job For Inside Tips: Witness

Law360 (March 10, 2011, 7:16 PM EST) -- A former McKinsey & Co. Inc. consultant told a New York federal jury Thursday that Galleon Group LLC founder Raj Rajaratnam aggressively pursued him for inside tips for trading purposes, taking special interest in his client Advanced Micro Devices Inc.

Government witness Anil Kumar testified during the insider trading trial against Rajaratnam in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York that the hedge fund chief pulled him aside at a charity event in 2003, offering to hire him in an unofficial arrangement....
