Patent Holder Hits Foursquare With Infringement Suit

Law360, New York (March 11, 2011, 12:01 PM EST) -- A Mission Viejo, Calif., patent owner sued Foursquare Labs Inc. on Thursday claiming the urban information business is infringing a patent for a subscription-based system for providing commerce information on mobile devices.

Mobile Commerce Framework Inc. filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California seeking a judgment of willful infringement, injunctive relief and damages.
