Microsoft Sued Over .Net Development Platform

Law360 (April 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Fort Worth, Texas-based software and Internet technologies company has filed a patent infringement suit against Microsoft Corp. alleging the software giant encroached on a single patent owned by the plaintiff, and asking the court for treble damages and a permanent injunction.

Vertical Computer Systems Inc. filed the lawsuit against Microsoft Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

At issue in the suit is U.S. Patent Number 6,826,744, entitled “System and method for generating web sites in an arbitrary object framework”...
