FDIC Appeals $1.3M Ruling In WaMu Severance Suit

Law360, New York (March 11, 2011, 11:28 PM EST) -- The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. on Friday appealed a Louisiana federal judge's decision ordering it to pay $1.36 million to the estate of a former Washington Mutual Inc. mortgage director to cover unpaid bonuses and severance pay.

The FDIC appealed the case to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and filed a motion to reconsider and vacate the Jan. 12 judgment in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana.
