Judge Affirms Verdict In Facebook Data Patent Suit

Law360 (March 15, 2011, 5:00 PM EDT) -- A federal judge denied several post-trial motions Monday in a patent battle between Facebook Inc. and Leader Technologies Inc., preserving a jury's July verdict that invalidated Leader's data storage patent while finding that Facebook had infringed it.

Ruling on five motions for summary judgment and judgment as a matter of law from Facebook and one motion from Leader, Judge Leonard Stark of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware said that the evidence in the case supported the jury's verdict on all the disputed issues.
