GAO Orders Redo Of $450M Homeland Security Contract

Law360, New York (March 16, 2011, 2:35 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office sustained a protest from Global Computer Enterprises Inc. last week and ordered the Department of Homeland Security to re-evaluate bids for a $450 million contract for a financial management system awarded to CACI International Inc.

In a decision released Wednesday, the GAO scuttled the DHS’ award of the contract to CACI, finding that material changes in the scope of the project require revising the solicitation so the offerors can accurately bid on the contract.
