Senate Committee Approves Obama's OMB Nomination

Law360, New York (March 16, 2011, 6:13 PM EDT) -- A U.S. Senate committee Wednesday signed off on the appointment of former White House policy adviser Heather Higginbottom as deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget.

The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee voted 6-4 in favor of confirming Higginbottom to the powerful office that creates the president’s annual budget, moving her nomination on to a vote before the full Senate.
