Dell, RIM, Others Sued In Wi-Fi Patent Suit

Law360, New York (March 17, 2011, 1:10 PM EDT) -- Canadian patent licensing firm Mosaid Technologies Inc. hit more than two dozen companies including Dell Inc. and Research In Motion Ltd. with a suit on Wednesday in Texas for allegedly infringing six patents covering Wi-Fi technology.

A number of Wi-Fi-enabled devices made by the defendants — including Dell's laptop, notebook, and tablet computers and RIM's smartphones — infringe the patents-in-suit, Mosaid said in a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
