BofA, Citi, Barclays Subpoenaed In LIBOR Probe

Law360, New York (March 17, 2011, 8:53 PM EDT) -- U.S. regulators have subpoenaed Bank of America NA, Citigroup Inc. and Barclays Capital Inc., according to Wednesday news reports, as they continue investigating whether the banks, UBS AG and others tried to manipulate interbank interest rates used as a global benchmark.

The U.S. government is beginning to narrow its investigation after informally requesting information from all 16 members of the committee who helped the British Bankers' Association set the London Interbank Offered Rate, according to The Financial Times.
