Ky. Farm Owners Sue Army Corps Over Road Project

Law360, New York (March 17, 2011, 3:03 PM EDT) -- Owners of a historic farm in Kentucky filed suit Tuesday against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other state and federal agencies, claiming a permit for a planned roadway extension violates the National Historic Preservation Act and environmental laws.

In a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, Patricia A. Ragland McGehee and Richard McGehee said the project as authorized by the Corps would destroy a substantial portion of the historic Fannie Harrison Farm, where they reside.
