Quicken Triumphs In Loan Officers' Overtime Action

Law360, New York (March 17, 2011, 7:01 PM EDT) -- A Michigan jury on Thursday ruled in favor of Quicken Loans Inc. in a long-running Fair Labor Standards Act class action alleging the company misclassified mortgage loan officers as exempt from overtime regulations.

After a five-week trial, the jury in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan deliberated for more than two days before returning a verdict that the Quicken Loans employees were properly classified under the administrative exemption of the FLSA.
