Apple, Nokia, Motorola Face Image Sensor Patent Suit

Law360 (March 21, 2011, 1:42 PM EDT) -- Imperium (IP) Holdings Inc. slapped smartphone makers including Apple Inc., Nokia Inc. and Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. with a patent infringement suit in a Texas court on Friday over cellphones with image sensors.

Imperium filed its complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, seeking unspecified damages and injunctive relief.

In addition to Apple, Nokia and Motorola, Imperium's suit targets Kyocera Communications Inc., LG Electronics USA Inc., LG Electronics Mobilecomm USA Inc., Research In Motion Corp. and Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications (USA) Inc.
