Actonel Makers Launch 2nd Suit Over Mylan Generic

Law360, New York (March 22, 2011, 1:22 PM EDT) -- Warner Chilcott Co. LLC and Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. sued Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Delaware on Monday for the second time over Actonel, alleging the company's generic version would infringe another patent covering the osteoporosis drug.

The drug companies filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware seeking to halt Mylan's bid to make and market its own version of 150 mg risedronate sodium tablets, a generic form of once-a-month Actonel.
