GAO Nixes Protest Of $1.6M FTC Maintenance Contract

Law360, New York (March 22, 2011, 2:59 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office said Monday it had tossed CMI Management Inc.’s protest over a $1.6 million contract to perform facilities maintenance at the Federal Trade Commission’s Washington offices.

FTC evaluators gave Alexandria, Va.-based CMI’s $1.594 million bid low marks, in part because the bid didn’t sufficiently address how the company would fulfill “all elements” of the FTC’s statement of work, according to the GAO decision issued March 2 and made public Monday.
