Texas Says Gas Co. Not To Blame For Well Pollution

Law360, New York (March 22, 2011, 7:04 PM EDT) -- A Texas regulatory agency ruled Tuesday that Range Resource Corp. did not cause methane contamination in homeowners' wells, opposing a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency order that the natural gas company perform remediation work.

The Railroad Commission of Texas — which regulates the state's oil and natural gas industry — voted 3-0 to allow Fort Worth, Texas-based Range to continue natural gas well operations.
