2nd Pipe Co. Owner Cops To ConEd Kickbacks

Law360, New York (March 24, 2011, 3:26 PM EDT) -- A second New Jersey pipe supply company and its owner pled guilty Wednesday to bribing a Consolidated Edison Co. of New York Inc. employee in exchange for lucrative ConEd contracts.

Bernard Grobart and his company, Lyndhurst, N.J.-based Teneyck Inc., passed nearly $300,000 in bribes to James M. Woodason, a ConEd purchasing department manager, between 2003 and 2008 according to a criminal information filed the same day in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
