Alleged PS3 Hacker Denies Fleeing US To Avoid Suit

Law360, New York (March 24, 2011, 5:15 PM EDT) -- Alleged PlayStation 3 hacker George Hotz on Wednesday denied reports that he had fled the country to impede an ongoing breach of contract and copyright infringement suit brought against him in California by Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC.

Hotz, who Sony claims disseminated a workaround that allowed PS3 owners to run pirated games and unauthorized software on the systems, said he had always planned to take a vacation to South America at this time and continues to stay in touch with his attorneys.
