Extradition Bid Put Off For Comverse Exec

Law360 (April 25, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An extradition hearing in Namibia was postponed Wednesday for the former head of Comverse Technology Inc., whom U.S. authorities have accused of making millions of dollars from illegal backdating.

A three-day hearing was scheduled to begin Wednesday in a Windhoek, Namibia, court for Jacob "Kobi" Alexander, who faces various conspiracy, fraud and money-laundering charges in the United States.
