SEC Names WilmerHale Partner As Deputy GC

Law360, New York (March 24, 2011, 5:59 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday appointed WilmerHale partner Anne K. Small as deputy general counsel.

Small, who will join the SEC's Office of the General Counsel next week, takes over from Mark D. Cahn, another WilmerHale alum who was promoted to general counsel early in February.

She will act as deputy general counsel for litigation and adjudication, focusing on enforcement matters, appellate cases and adjudications, the commission said. She served as a litigation partner in the New York office of WilmerHale, mainly handling...
