FlashPoint, Nokia Cut Deal In ITC Smartphone Probe

Law360, New York (March 25, 2011, 2:28 PM EDT) -- FlashPoint Technology Inc. and Nokia Corp. agreed Tuesday to a patent license and settlement agreement allowing Nokia to exit a U.S. International Trade Commission probe that also targeted smartphone makers HTC Corp., Research In Motion Ltd. and LG Electronics Inc.

The parties jointly moved to terminate the ITC's Section 337 probe into certain electronic imaging devices with respect to the Nokia respondents.

Details of the licensing payments under the agreement were withheld from the publicly filed version of the settlement agreement.
