Hedge Fund Operators Get 7 Years For Fraud

Law360, New York (March 25, 2011, 2:42 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge sentenced two operators of hedge fund AR Capital Global Fund LP on Friday to more than seven years in prison each and ordered them to fork over $7 million they helped bilk from investors.

Judge Sidney H. Stein of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York sentenced Igor Levin and Yevgeny Shvartsshteyn each to 87 months and prison for conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud.
