Ex-Cendant Accounting VP To Pay SEC $100K

Law360, New York (April 25, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former accounting vice president at Cendant Corp. has agreed to a settlement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission which will quell charges that she was involved in accounting fraud at the company, now called Avis Budget Group Inc., according to published reports.

Pursuant to the settlement, Anne Pember will forfeit $100,000 and cancel certain stock options, Dow Jones reported Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the SEC declined to comment on or confirm the reported settlement.
