Ceres Loses Bid Protest To AshBritt In Price Dispute

Law360, New York (March 29, 2011, 5:06 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has rejected Ceres Environmental Services Inc.’s claims that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers unfairly awarded a debris removal contract to AshBritt Inc. because it was the lowest bidder, according to an opinion made public on Monday.

Judge Mary Ellen Coster Williams of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims denied Ceres’ motion for judgment on the administrative record while simultaneously granting AshBritt's cross-motion for judgment.
