Ex-Boeing Workers Fail To Resurrect Age Bias Action

Law360, New York (March 28, 2011, 5:59 PM EDT) -- A Kansas federal judge refused Monday to revive a proposed class action accusing The Boeing Co. and Spirit AeroSystems Inc. of illegally terminating older workers, finding the plaintiffs failed to establish that the judge erred in granting the companies summary judgment.

Judge Eric F. Melgren of the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas said he saw no reason to reverse his July 2010 ruling that the plaintiffs were unable to show the companies fostered a corporate culture of age bias.
