Insurer Sheds Claims Over Factory Cleanup Coverage

Law360, New York (March 29, 2011, 4:26 PM EDT) -- A federal judge granted partial summary judgment Monday to American International Specialty Lines Insurance Co. in a coverage suit over a former New Jersey razor factory's cleanup, ruling that $928,000 in rejected claims were billed after the policy at issue expired.

Judge Freda Wolfson of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey also denied a bid for summary judgment by plaintiff Federal Insurance Co. on other costs, saying that Federal had failed to prove that letters and warnings from the New Jersey Department...
