7th Circ. Revives Police Officers' Race Bias Suit

Law360, New York (March 28, 2011, 10:53 PM EDT) -- The Seventh Circuit remanded a suit Monday in which three white police officers accused the city of Springfield, Ill., of providing preferential treatment to a black police officer, finding that the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act had revived some of the claims.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit reversed a district court's summary judgment on the police officers' Title VII and equal protection claims, finding that they should be allowed as timely under the LLFPA.
