AB InBev Scores Review Of 'Bud' Trademark Ruling

Law360, New York (March 29, 2011, 3:48 PM EDT) -- The European Union's top court on Tuesday remanded Anheuser-Busch InBev NV's case against Budejovicky Budvar NP over the rights to an EU-wide “Budweiser” trademark, determining that an earlier judgment for Budvar contained a series of legal errors.

The European Court of Justice referred the case back to the General Court after finding the lower court had committed three errors of law when it held that the EU trademark agency, the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market, erred by rejecting Budvar's opposition to AB InBev's application...
