Judge Clears Alpharma's Generic Neurontin

Law360, New York (October 13, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal district court judge has denied drug maker Pfizer Inc.'s motion for a preliminary injunction to block Alpharma's sale of a generic version of epilepsy drug Neurontin.

Alpharma said Friday it was launching its Neurontin generic after hearings in the U.S. District Court for New Jersey ended without a ruling. Pfizer responded by launching its own generic capsules in the same 100 milligram, 300 milligram and 400 milligram doses as Alpharma.
