US Wheel Makers Seek Duties On Chinese Imports

Law360, New York (March 30, 2011, 6:59 PM EDT) -- Accuride Corp. and Hayes-Lemmerz International Inc. on Wednesday asked U.S. trade regulators to assess anti-dumping and countervailing duties on imports of steel wheels from China.

The auto wheel makers claim that Chinese imports sold in the U.S. at less than fair value threaten the domestic steel wheel industry, and that the Chinese government has unfairly subsidized the country's production and export of the product.
