Google Dodges Injunction In Web Browser IP Suit

Law360, New York (March 31, 2011, 4:53 PM EDT) -- A Massachusetts federal judge on Thursday denied a software company's motion for a preliminary injunction in a patent infringement suit against Google Inc. over an algorithm related to the Chrome web browser.

Judge Douglas P. Woodlock of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts ruled that Red Bend Ltd. and Red Bend Software Inc. were unable to prove a likelihood of success on the merits or a likelihood of irreparable harm.
