Duane Morris Wards Off Texas Malpractice Suit

Law360, New York (March 31, 2011, 8:26 PM EDT) -- A Texas appeals court on Thursday upheld Duane Morris LLP's win in a malpractice suit brought by the owner of a test preparation company that lost a trademark dispute, finding that the plaintiff lacked standing.

The 14th Court of Appeals of the State of Texas affirmed a lower court's 2009 ruling that plaintiff Robin Singh could not recover damages that were allegedly suffered by Robin Singh Educational Services Inc. despite being the company's only shareholder.
