US Tries To Bar Defense Expert In Rajaratnam Trial

Law360, New York (April 1, 2011, 3:09 PM EDT) -- Prosecutors in the insider trading trial of Galleon Group LLC founder Raj Rajaratnam in New York asked the judge Thursday to block the testimony of a finance professor, saying he would only repeat arguments already made by the defense.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan R. Streeter filed a motion in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York asking Judge Richard J. Holwell to either preclude the testimony of University of Rochester professor Gregg A. Jarrell or force the Galleon Group LLC founder's counsel...
