Lupin Unit Sues Ranbaxy Again Over Generic Antara

Law360, New York (April 4, 2011, 8:02 PM EDT) -- A Lupin Ltd. unit on Thursday fired another volley in Pennsylvania federal court against Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. over a generic version of Antara, following a new patent issued on the cholesterol-lowering drug in January.

The new suit, filed by Lupin Atlantis Holdings SA in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, comes after the Swiss company took aim at Ranbaxy in two similar actions filed in 2010 in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
