ITC Takes Up Probe Of China Steel Wheel Imports

Law360 (April 5, 2011, 2:23 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Tuesday it will begin investigating whether China has sold steel wheels in the U.S. at less than fair value, granting a request from domestic producers Accuride Corp. and Hayes-Lemmerz International Inc.

The ITC issued a notice in the Federal Register saying it has implemented the preliminary phase of an investigation to determine whether a U.S. industry is materially injured or threatened as a result of the Chinese imports.

The investigation would cover steel wheels and rims with 18- to 24.5-inch...
