Senate Budget Committee Clears OMB Nominee

Law360, New York (April 6, 2011, 4:01 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate Budget Committee on Tuesday gave the green light to President Barack Obama’s nominee for deputy director of the White House Office of Management and Budget in a party-line vote.

Eleven Democratic senators voted in favor of Heather Higginbottom’s nomination, while 10 Republicans voted against her, moving Higginbottom closer to a confirmation vote before the full Senate.
