Fishery Group Casts CWA Suit Against Trilore

Law360, New York (April 5, 2011, 7:38 PM EDT) -- A fishery protection group slapped Trilore Technologies Inc. with a suit in California on Monday alleging the foundry is violating the Clean Water Act by discharging stormwater contaminated with high levels of aluminum and zinc into the San Joaquin River.

The suit, filed by the California Sportfishing Protection Alliance in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, also alleges Trilore is violating California’s general industrial permit and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System general permit.
