Court Favors Malibu In Environmental Review Spat

Law360 (April 5, 2011, 10:57 PM EDT) -- A California appeals court on Tuesday rejected a nonprofit's challenge to the city of Malibu's adoption of an environmental impact report and approval of a wastewater treatment project, deciding the appeal was moot because the project was completed in 2010.

The Court of Appeal of the State of California, Second Appellate District, denied Santa Monica Baykeeper's appeal that targeted the environmental review of Legacy Park, a public space designed to trap, treat and reuse stormwater.
