Judge Thins Netologic Espionage Suit V. Goldman Sachs

Law360, New York (April 6, 2011, 3:45 PM EDT) -- A New York state judge on Monday threw out most of software company Netologic Inc.'s lawsuit claiming Goldman Sachs Group Inc. lured it into a licensing agreement, only to develop and market rival financial brokerage products.

Judge Barbara Kapnick of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of New York, dismissed many of Netologic's claims including breach of contract, unjust enrichment and tortious interference, but opened the door to revised fraud allegations over Goldman’s license for the plaintiff’s buy-side commission tracking and payment...
