San Francisco Settles Pregnancy Harassment Claims

Law360, New York (April 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- San Francisco has agreed to settle with the former director of the city’s Department of Building Inspection to prevent her from suing the city for sexual and pregnancy harassment.

Amy Lee won more than $156,000 in damages and attorney’s fees from the city last month after being assailed by critics during her April 2005 confirmation hearing while city officials stood by without stopping the insults from flying, including one that accused Lee of suffering from “pregnancy brain,” the San Francisco Chronicle said.
