PwC Director Urges DC Circ. To Revive Age Bias Claims

Law360, New York (April 8, 2011, 12:15 PM EDT) -- A PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP managing director tried to persuade the D.C. Circuit on Friday that he should be allowed to pursue individual, nonclass claims that the company discriminates against older employees in choosing who to promote to partnerships.

The company's policy requiring partners to retire at age 60 has a strong bias against the promotion of those over the age of 45, and an even stronger bias against those aged 54 to 59, plaintiff Harold Schuler's attorney Joshua Rose told a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court...
