Judge Preserves Russian Billionaire's JPMorgan Claims

Law360, New York (April 8, 2011, 10:38 PM EDT) -- A New York state judge Friday maintained most claims in a lawsuit brought by Russian billionaire Len Blavatnik accusing a JPMorgan Chase & Co. investment unit of losing $98 million in an account through mismanagement.

Judge Melvin L. Schweitzer of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of New York, denied J.P. Morgan Investment Management Inc.'s attempts to knock out claims from Blavatnik's amended complaint, which was filed after most of his claims in the original 2009 suit were tossed.
