UK To Review Google's $62M Buy Of Price-Quote Site

Law360, New York (April 11, 2011, 12:56 PM EDT) -- The U.K.'s antitrust watchdog on Monday began reviewing Google Inc.'s recent £37.7 million ($61.8 million) purchase of British financial products price-comparison site

The Office of Fair Trading asked any interested parties to comment on the completed transaction Monday as part of an initial bid to figure out if the combination will end up substantially lessening competition in the market for providing price comparison services online, the regulator said.

Comments are due by April 26, and the regulator's decision is set to come out by June...
